“You always learn when you visit Obasanjo” – U.S. Ambassador
The United States Ambassador to Nigeria, Richard Mills, praised former President Chief Olusegun Obasanjo as a “repository of knowledge” during his visit to the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) in Abeokuta, Ogun State, on Thursday.
Mills emphasized that anyone who meets with Obasanjo leaves enriched with insights and lessons.
In a press statement issued by his Special Assistant on Media, Kehinde Akinyemi, Mills described the Presidential Library as a powerful symbol of hope for the Nigerian people, reflecting aspirations for a brighter future. He noted, “The library captures the real hope that all Nigerians want to see realized in the not-too-distant future.”
Following a private meeting that lasted approximately an hour, Ambassador Mills expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to engage with Obasanjo. He stated, “I had an open and frank discussion with the former President. He is a good friend of the United States, and we always learn something new with each visit.”
