Zulum visits five communities, cries out over resurgence of Boko Haram onslaught on farmers in Borno
Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State, on Friday, paid a condolence visit to five communities that recently encountered resurgence of Boko Haram terrorists onslaught in Jere and Mafa local government areas; he cried out over the renewed terrorist attacks on farmers in Borno State.
Boko Haram terrorists had on Thursday slaughtered eight farmers and scavengers in the communities, which include Shuwari, Kaleri, Tamsu Ngamdua, Baram Karamwa, and Muna.
Governor Zulum expressed dismay over what he considered ‘sabotage of efforts to restore security in Borno State’, stating that there was an attempt to sabotage the counterinsurgency fight of the Federal Government and the military.
The governor, noting that risk the farmers face before reaching their farmlands, urged the farmers to remain resilient. he promised that more military roadblocks along Maiduguri/Mafa Road will be moved further to protect the farmers.
