$130M-worth Blippar collapses
Blippar announced yesterday that it is “entering into administration” and will be laying off all its employees, as administrators appointed by a U.K. court decide what to do with its assets.
“We’re saddened to announce that Blippar has gone into administration today. We’re eternally grateful to all our team members, customers, partners, our board and investors who have been with us on this incredible journey”.
So for now, Blippar was the name of a technology company that specialized in augmented reality and of the mobile app it makes. The company was founded in London and had offices in Singapore, India and the United States. It created the first augmented-reality digital ad platform.
