Arabic school students get it on their backs for going to party
A video that captured whipping of an Arabic school learners at Ganmo, Ifelodun LGA, Kwara, is trending online.
Some male and female students allegedly went partying at a birthday, with lots of eating, dancing and boozing.
The learners however denied it—to no avail, though.
As the video reveals, the leader of the school was telling some school prefects—or alfas—to whack the stray learners for their sins.
“Don’t pity them”, others encouraged as the alfas cracked the whips on the learners’ backs.
Violence against persons is an offence in Nigeria.
Kwara is in the north, where the Penal Code governs their justice, and partying is not yet an offence–except under Shariah.
