Wilder lands in hospital
Punch-drunk Deontay Wilder has landed in hospital after was technically knockout the third time in his rematch with Tyson Fury in Las Vegas Saturday night.
The fight was waved off by referee Russell Mora in the 11th round, after Wilder stayed the count.
He however left quickly without responding to Tyson giving him a big-up, leaving the champion to entertain the spectators.
It was Wilder’s second straight defeat to Fury, who retained his WBC belt with the victory.
He will now undergo precautionary tests in hospital, according to his manager Shelly Finkel.
He insisted the 35-year-old was in good health.
