2022: Be hopeful, Obasa, Abiara task Nigerians
Sequel the expected terrifying predictions that mostly characterises the end of the year, the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa and a popular cleric Prophet (Dr) Samuel Kayode Abiara have urged Nigerians not to lose hope in the Nigerian project as the future holds peaceful ambience, contrary to all negative pronouncements.
According to Dr. Obasa, it was only the grace of God that has kept Nigeria and Nigerians till December 2021 despite the many challenges the country and her citizens have had to face within the year.
The Speaker said this on Thursday at an end of the year thanksgiving and Christmas outreach programme organised for staff of the Lagos State House of Assembly and their wards within the Assembly complex.

He explained that the House had every reason to thank God for the year because of the successes it recorded in legislative activities, the passage of bills, motions and resolutions that are meant to improve standard of living, peace and happiness among the residents of the state.
“I will sing praises because, together with my colleagues, members of staff of this Assembly and my team at the Office of the Speaker, we recorded huge successes in terms of legislative activities this year,” Obasa said.
Concerning ‘Abundant Grace’, the theme of the thanksgiving, Speaker Obasa noted that the Bible is replete with verses emphasising the grace of God upon individuals which make them victorious each time they have to face some of the challenges of life.
The guest minister Prophet (Dr) Samuel Kayode Abiara, the Worldwide General Evangelist of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC),harped on the praise worthiness of God while he charged all present to always remember their benefactors and the need for Nigerians to be closer to God at all times.
He also prayed for Nigeria ahead 2022 as he charge everyone to have a forgiving spirit, adding that Nigerians should not give in to negative predictions that is meant to rattle them as God speaks peace to the land not doom.
The Patron for 2021 edition of the special gathering of praise, Hon. Kehinde Joseph in his speech was quick to add that the essence of life is to be in tune with ones maker and the culture of giving quality praise makes this an enduring relationship.
He commended the Speaker of the house for maintaining the excellent culture, as he made presentation of gifts in appreciation of the great contributions of the leadership of the house toward its positive progressions.
Guest Artists like BJ Sax,the Ayan Jesu Gospel group and Lanre Teriba (Atorise) all rendered praises to God for the grace enjoyed all through the year, as the audience danced to their soul lifting songs.
