Mauritius seizes 3.7 kg of heroin at airport
The Mauritius Revenue Authority (MRA) on Tuesday announced that it discovered and seized 3.7 kg of heroin that arrived on Sunday on board an Air Mauritius flight from South Africa.
According to an MRA official, the drug was found in a metal pipe, which was concealed in a shipment of spare parts for boats.
The Mauritius Anti-Drug and Supporting Unit (ADSU) has opened an investigation to locate the sponsor(s) of the drug.
