IPOB: Kanu sues Kenya government
Days after filing a multi-billion naira suit against the Nigerian government, IPOB’s leader Nnamdi Kanu has sued Kenya, too.
The Special Counsel to the IPOB leader, Aloy Ejimakor, disclosed this via his Twitter handle on Thursday.
“UPDATE: Extraordinary Rendition: Onyendu’s legal team has filed a suit in Kenya against the Kenyan government,” Ejimakor tweeted.
Kenya reportedly handed Kanu over to Nigeria in July, four years after he jumped bail during hisbtreason trial in Abuja.
Kenyan High Commissioner Wilfred Machage denied the claim that Kenyan police arrested Kanu.
The secessionist leader has since been detained by the DSS and his trial resumed immediately.
He is back in court in October.
