Man commits suicide, leaves no note behind

Residents of Isale Aro, Osogbo, Osun, were shocked to learn that a middle-aged man identified as Samuel Marvelous committed suicide.

Many in the area know him as a hardworking Igbo man who gave no sign of distress or inclination to do something as shocking as taking his own life.

Marvelous was found unconscious in his apartment opposite Our Lady and Saint Francis Catholic Secondary School, Isale Aro, after taking an insecticide on Sunday.

His co-tenants rushed him to a nearby hospital for resuscitation, but Marvelous died Monday morning after emergency efforts failed.

He left no suicide note behind.
