Eze-Igbo robbed, abducted
The Eze Ndigbo of Ifon in Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State, Chief Donatus Okereke, has been abducted.
His abduction took place about the same area where the Onifon of Ifon Israel Adeusi was shot dead last year.
Okereke is a popular businessman in Ifon community.
According to Regent Olaniyi Eni Olotu, the abductors of Okereke shot into the air before taking him into the bush. They took a large sum of money from him, too.
Olotu said the police and Amotekun have been contacted over the incident.
The state Police Public Relations Officer Funmilayo Odunlami said that the vehicle of the Okereke was seen in the middle of the road and that his number had not been going through since Monday.
“It’s actually a case of suspected kidnapping because bullet shells were said to have been found where they saw his vehicle
“The DPO within the axis has mobilised his men to search for him,” Odulami said.
