IKOYI: Family loses sister of Osibona’s PA who died in rubble week to wedding
Twenty-three days after the collapse of Ikoyi Terraces in Lagos, with over 40 people brought out dead from the rubble, collateral damage is still going.
A sister of one of the dead victims just died.
If Oyinye Enekwe, the second personal assistant to Fem Osibona, the owner of the building, dying a week to her wedding could be described as tragic, Amaka Enekwe, sick and grief-stricken, dying three weeks after could be described worse.
Facebook user, Blessed Nasa Eriamah, shared the sad news of Amaka’s death on the social media platform.
According to her, Amaka was ill, but was on the mend, family believed, until she died on Monday.
“Your mother is trying to get over it by singing praises and thanking God to hide her pains,” Erimah said.
“But she’s losing it.”
Sob stories like the Enekwes abound in the aftermath of the Nov. 1 incident the Lagos government is still probing.
A youth corps member redeployed from Borno to escape the meace of ISWAP and Boko Haram, only to be buried in the ruins of the tower just days after she was employed at Fourscore Heights Ltd, the company constructing the 21-story building.
