Agbekoya demands release of Sunday Igboho
A renowned Socio-Cultural Group in Yoruba nation, the Agbekoya Society of Nigeria, on Thursday took to the streets of Ibadan, Oyo State, to protest the detention of Sunday Adeyemo, known as Sunday Igboho by the federal government, demanding his immediate release. The President General of the Agbekoya Worldwide, Kamorudeem Okekiola, led the peaceful protest in Ibadan for the release of Sunday Igboho.
The protesters commenced their peaceful action from the Mapo Hall, Ibadan, to the palace of the Olubadan of Ibadan, where they presented seven demands to the royal father to convey to the federal government.
Included in the demands is the immediate and unconditional release of Sunday Igboho. The Agbekoya Worldwide vowed to sustain their protests and other activities for the release of Igboho until the federal government responds to their demands.
