2023: Atiku does, says exactly what Tinubu did, said in Niger
Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has continued his consultation by visiting Niger to sympathise wwith the state government and pay a visit to the hilltop mansion of former military President Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida.
APC national leader Bola Tinubu who started his consultation earlier was the first to use that repertoire: pay condolences to the governor, swing by at IBB’s, and have a press conference.
Atiku did his own round Tuesday.
“I only came on a courtesy visit to the governor and to commiserate with him and people of the state over the incessant banditry,” Atiku said.
After that, the PDP presidential aspirant visited IBB, and the two had a private meeting that lasted for about 45 minutes.
When he visited weeks ago, Tinubu had Governor Sani Bello endorsement, and he claimed he got IBB’s blessing.
Atiku, however, didn’t disclose what he got.
Many believe the two politicians are the major contestants to watch if they both win their party primaries.
