See the 2 PDP leaders whose defection may affect them in their states
The Defection of Prominent Members of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, to the All Progressives Congress APC, may affect the PDP in their various States.
It should be recalled that PDP has suffered Serious Setback in the Past. The Party lost three Governors to APC, within two years.
The PDP Governors that dumped the Party, for APC within two years are Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State, Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State and the Governor of Zamfara State, Bello Matawalle.
Recently, Some PDP Leaders also dumped the Party for the All Progressives Congress APC in their states. However, Some PDP Leaders, who defected to APC but their defections to APC, will affect the Party in their various states”
One of the PDP Leaders who recently dumped the Party for APC, and whose his defection to APC, will affect the structure of PDP in the state, is the former Minister of Niger Delta, Elder Peter Orubebe.
It should be recalled that Elder Orubebe recently dumped the PDP for APC. Orubebe was the Minister, when Goodluck Jonathan was the President of the country.
It should be recalled that Elder Peter Orubebe is from Delta State, and his defection to APC will affect the structure of the PDP in the state. Orubebe’s defection to PDP will disturb the Party, from winning future elections in the state.
Meanwhile, Elder Peter Orubebe was the Director of Finance of Jonathan’s Campaign Organization in 2015 Presidential Race. This shows how influential Elder Peter Orubebe is, in Delta state. He happens to be the right hand man of Goodluck Jonathan.
Therefore, The PDP in Delta State may find it difficult to win the Forthcoming Governorship Polls in the state because of Orubebe’s defection to APC in the state.
Another PDP Leader, who dumped the Party for APC and Whose his defection to APC, may affect the PDP in the state, is the Former State House of Assembly Member, Hon Hemen Boko.
The Defection of Hemen Boko to the All Progressives Congress APC, will destabilize the structure of the Party in the state. Though, Governor Samuel Ortom will try his best, to ensure that he delivers the for APC, but he may may find it very difficult to do so.
The reason is that, Hon Hemen Boko is a grassroot Politician in the state, and he will get the support of the former Governor of the state, George Akume.
George Akume and Hemen Boko will team up, against the PDP in the state, and as result of this, APC may stand better chance of winning the forthcoming Governorship election in the state.
