Another mass protest emerging, youths block Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, demand better Nigeria
Another mass protest by Nigerian youths in the tradition of the #EndSARS Movement is building up as several youths went on rampage, blocking the Berger end of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Monday.
The youths set up bonfires on both sides of the road, obstructing vehicular movement, and causing heavy traffic, as they were demanding a better Nigeria.
The youths displayed placards with inscriptions: “Questions for politicians and Religious Leaders. What is the future of Nigeria? All highways in Nigeria be blocked. No movement nationwide.”
The youths had occupied the highway for about one hour before vacating the scene for another day.
The police later visited the scene of the protest to forestall further breakdown of law and order.
