Tweeps eulogise late ‘Ekwueme’ singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu
Some Twitter users are paying tribute to the late gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu.
The death of the singer was reported on Friday. The Imo State-born gospel singer died aged 42.
Honouring her memory, tweeps shared how her songs, especially, ‘Ekwueme’ impacted them.
A tweep, Chidi Godwin, said “So sad to hear that the woman who sang Ekwueme,
Osinachi Nwachukwu is dead
“I gave my life to Christ after seven times of hearing that song
Aji Bussu said, “Mrs Osinachi Nwachukwu gave us one of the most powerful Igbo gospel songs in history. Rest in peace, nwanyị ọma.
Another tweep, Lanihun, mourning the late singer said, ‘I’m a Yoruba lady, but this is the first Igbo song I had so much passion to learn and want to know word for word. This worship awakens my spirit everytime I listen to it, though I don’t understand the lyrics. Rip Osinachi Nwachukwu.”
