Mixed reactions trail rumoured death of dating expert, Kevin Samuels
The rumoured death of a popular dating expert, Kevin Samuels, has elicited glee in some quarters and sympathy from others.
Samuels, 56, twice divorced, and currently single is notable for his videos where he shares his opinions on relationships for both genders.
His opinions on Black women tend to go viral for being controversial and disparaging. This had pitched him against African American women.
According to reports, Samuels had died of cardiac arrest although there is no official statement on his social media pages yet or his publicity team.
This hasn’t stopped social media users from paying tribute or dissing his memory.
Tweep, Kimmy said, “The irony of Kevin Samuels making a career out of telling black women they’d die single & alone, yet that’s how he died. Not celebrating but be careful how you treat people when you’re alive. RIP to him. #KevinSamuels”
A journalist, Ernest Owens tweeted, “Kevin Samuels has made a career off of shamelessly disgracing Black women for profit.
“He emboldened the most toxic individuals to project tired and harmful narratives about Black women.
Dead or alive, what a disgraceful life to live.
“That’s all I’ve got for that misogynist.”
JiCong tweeting on the rumoured death slammed those celebrating the ‘passing’ of Samuels.
He said, “You a sick individual to celebrate someone passing R.I.P Kevin Samuels”
“The way you women are treating the news of Kevin Samuels as a celebratory event is revolting. Y’all are evil, twisted, deranged, selfish, careless, conceited and distasteful to say the very least. And it’s ironic because y’all are literally proving he was right about y’all,” Amari blasted.
