The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate for the 2023 election, Atiku Abubakar has said Nigerians inability to establish a regime of law and order in which the arrest and punishment of criminals will be made a priority,” will continue to worsen the country’s insecurity, with criminals becoming more daring.

Atiku stated this on Wednesday while reacting to Tuesday night terrorist attack by individuals believed to be Boko Haram insurgents on Kuje prison in Abuja, freeing over 600 prisoners.

Denouncing the attack, Atiku, also a former Vice President, expressed concern that the tough criminals who escaped the facility may cause more security issues in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

The PDP presidential candidate tweeted, “I am concerned and saddened by reports of the attack on Kuje Prison by suspected terrorists. My concern arises not only from the prospects of the escape of detained terrorists and hardened criminals but of its implications for the security of lives and property to residents of Abuja and its environs.

For Atiku Abubakar to hastely condemn this murder or breakup of prison yard and never delete it as he did in the case of murder and burning to death of Christian Ms Deborah in Sokoto state by Muslims recently, implies that his claim of “our inability to enthrone a regime of law & order in which the arrest and prosecution of criminals will be made a priority as a deterrent to copycats is the reason why insecurity continues to fester in our country”, is an affirmation that he is trying to give appearance of solidity to pure air in his desperate efforts to rule nigerians to solidify his financial empire built from proceeds of roguery and corruption. Is murder of Ms Deborah which he failed to solidly stand against with undoubtable condemnation, any different from encouraging the govt not to enthrone regime of law and order in stopping murderers and criminals? Therein therefore lies his self-condemnation and subsequent implicating of his selfish ulterior motives in screwing nigerians further if elected president!
