Aisha Yesufu, Comedienne Princess react as court sentence Baba Ijesha to 16 years in prison
Nigerian activist, Aisha Yesufu, and popular comedienne, Princess, have taken to social media to react after Nollywood actor, Olanrewaju James, better known as Baba Ijesha, was sentenced to 16 years imprisonment for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old minor.
The actor was convicted by the Special Lagos Offences Court on a 4-count charge of sexual assault on a minor and sentenced to 16 years in jail but will spend five years in prison; he was lucky to have been left off the hook on 2 counts that could’ve earned him life!
Baba Ijesha was found guilty of indecent treatment and sexual assault of a minor between 2013-2014. The court finds that the prosecution successfully proved counts 2 and 4 of the charges.
As regards this, Aisha noted in a short and brief message. On her Twitter handle, she wrote, “Justice.” According to her, justice was served.
Comedienne Princess, who couldn’t hide her expression, reacted on her Instagram page. She posted: “God is not man.”
