Protesters storm Abuja, takeover Transportation Ministry over kidnapped victims from Abuja-Kaduna train
Protesters identified as relatives of the kidnapped victims from the Abuja-Kaduna train attack by bandits, on Monday stormed Abuja in mass protest, taking over the headquarters of the Ministry of Transportation, Abuja, protesting the release of a new video where the bandits were torturing the kidnapped victims.
The protesters who occupied the main entrance to the ministry on Monday asked the Federal Government to take steps to secure the release of their loved ones who were abducted by gunmen at Katari village on March 28.
Speaking on behalf of the protesters, Ahmed Aruwa, declared that the protesters will continue to block the entrance to the Ministry of Transportation, insisting that the government must respond to their demand for the freedom of the kidnapped victims in the captivity of the bandits.
The protesters decried video where the bandits were flogging and tormenting the kidnapped victims in their captivity, inflicting pains on them.
The protest continued at the time of this report.
