Tambuwal visits Obasanjo in Abeokuta
Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State visited former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Sunday in what was described as a national issues meeting.
The Special Assistant on Media to Obasanjo, Kehinde Akinyemi, in a statement disclosed that the meeting held at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) Penthouse residence of the former President, adding that it was held behind closed doors.
Akinyemi revealed that Tambuwal arrived at about 1.30pm with some of his key aides and went straight into the meeting with the former President.
Both Dr. Obasanjo and Governor Tambuwal, he said, “came out at about 2.40pm and briefly he hinted that the meeting was on national issues.”
Governor Tambuwal later took his launch with his entourage and headed for the mosque inside OOPL to observe salat (prayers) before leaving the complex.
