Recall that the Senate Public Accounts Committee (SPAC) had few hours ago, announced that the current and past management of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF), are under scrutiny, following the inability of the management to produce the necessary documents used as evidence to back the expenditure of 17.158 billion naira by the management of such institution in 2013.
According to the current NSITF managing director, Dr Michael Akabogu, such documents were not in the organization’s custody, as the containers used in keeping them were not only beaten rain over the years, but have also been eaten by termites.
