Chelsea crash 3-0 at Leeds
Chelsea on Sunday crashed 3-0 to Leads, suffering first defeat in week three of the current Premier League season.
Goalkeeper Edouard Mendy’s sluggishness in clearing a back pass from defender Thiago Silva, and attempting to dribble a striker, Brenden Aaronson, in front of the goal post, gave Leeds the first goal in the 33rd minute of the first half. The second goal was scored within minutes through a header by Rodrigo from a free kick by Jack Harrison in the 37th minute.
Chelsea conceded two goals and scoring none at the end of the first.
Jack Harrison scored the third goal in the second half. Sealing Leeds’ first victory over Chelsea since 2002.
Chelsea was weakened after Kalidou Koulibaly was issued a red and sent off the pitch in the 84th minute.
Leeds has not lost any game in the first three matches of the current season and is temporarily second on the Premier League table after the match on Sunday.
