Gov Umahi dissociates self from police disruption of Obi’s solidarity rally in Abakaliki
Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State on Saturday dissociated from the disruption of Peter Obi’s solidarity rally by Labour Party (LP), and members of the Obidient Movement in Abakaliki. The governor denied directing the police to disperse the crowd gathered at Mile 50 for the one-million-man match for Obi.
The governor in a statement by his Special Assistant on Media and Strategy, Chooks Oko, declared: “If it is true that the police dispersed people, the answer will surely rest with the police.”
