Sunak aspires to upstage UK in second attempt for a  Hindu British Prime Minister

Rishi Sunak of Indian descent is aspiring to upstage the United Kingdom as he joins the race for a second time to become British Prime Minister to succeed Liz Truss. Sunak was behind the conservative bloc that ousted former Prime Minister Boris Johnson. Thereafter, he contested for the prime minister but lost to Truss.

Sunak, a Hindu descendant of immigrants from Britain’s old empire in India and East Africa, aspires to make a difference in British politics by being the first prime minister of ‘colour’ in the U.K.

Sunka has got the support of over 100 Conservative Member of Parliament, empowering him  to formally declare his candidacy on Sunday.

Sunak will be contesting against  Boris Johnson, Penny Mordaunt, and others.

Sunak thrilled the people with the mixture of his friends in the country after his education at the Winchester College, one of Britain’s most exclusive private schools, and the University of Oxford. According to him, “I have friends who are aristocrats, I have friends who are upper class, I have friends who are, you know, working class;” then added, “Well, not working class.”

Sunak represents the constituency of Richmond in Yorkshire, northern England, a safe Conservative seat he took over in 2015 from former party leader and foreign secretary William Hague, who described him as “exceptional”.
