Husband locks up wife, tortures her and attempts to use her for money ritual
A yet-to-be-identified man has been arrested by the police in Delta State over an alleged attempt to kill his wife, identified simply as Onyinyechi, for ritual purposes.
It was gathered that the suspect was arrested on Monday, November 28, at his residence in Ozoro area of the state.
He was arrested alongside a female herbalist after it was discovered that he locked his wife up for over eight months and subjected her to all sort of torture.
According to a source, “For the past eight months the man locked his wife inside their one room apartment. He collected her phone so that she won’t call anyone. He also used handkerchief to cover her mouth to prevent her from shouting or calling for help.
He used to torture her whenever he likes but unfortunately for him, when he was beating her last night, a neighbor heard and raised an alarm.”
