Update: Presidential, NASS election results delayed in LGAs in Rivers, INEC Collation Centre waits
The results of the Saturday presidential and National Assembly elections held on Saturday are still being sorted out in the various local governments in Rivers State. The collation centre of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Rivers State encounters delay in receiving results from the local government and as at 11.00am on Sunday is still waiting for the arrival of results of the Saturday elections from the 23 Local Government Areas.
National Daily gathered that there were no activities at INEC collation centre on Aba Road, Port Harcourt, the Rivers State, in the early hours of Sunday.
INEC Head of Voter Education in Rivers State, Mark Usolor, was said to have appealed to journalists at the collation centre on Sunday morning to be patience while awaiting the results of the presidential and legislative elections in the state.
