Presidential Tribunal rejects PDP, LP’s request for live coverage of proceedings, dismisses suit for lack of merit
The Presidential Election Petition Court, presided by Justice Haruna Tsammani as Chairman, on Monday rejected the request for live coverage of proceedings, thus, dismissed the application for live telecast of court proceedings filed by the presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Labour Party (LP).
Delivering judgement in Abuja on Monday, Justice Tsammani declared said the application by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party (LP) lacked merit.
The PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, in an application on May 8, sought an order to allow the live coverage of the daily court proceedings on the case brought against the President-elect, Bola Tinubu, winner of the February 25 presidential election.

The candidate fo thet All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Tinubu, challenging the applications for a live telecast of the proceedings at the tribunal, argued that it as an abuse of court process.
