Abducted woman released, deliverer of ransom abducted
According to reports gathered by National daily Newspaper, Mrs. Blessing, wife of Mr Johnson Ajiboye , was abducted in her provision store at Elerinjare, a sleepy town in the Ifelodun local government area of Kwara state at about 9pm on Thursday.
The unknown gunmen, numbering about seven invaded the community shooting sporadically before abducting the woman and her two shop assistants as reported ealier by National Daily Newspapper.
The abducted wife of Mr Johnson Ajiboye, Mrs Bola Ajiboye, has been set free.
She was released by her abductors on Wednesday around 11pm sources confirmed, after payment of N1m ransom along with foodstuffs, reliable sources disclosed to National Daily Newspaper.
Sources, however, said a yet to be identified person who went to deliver the ransom and the foodstuffs, was seized after delivery of the items.
Mrs Ajiboye was kidnapped on Thursday night at Elerinjare village, near Idofian town, in Ifelodun Local Government of Kwara State.
During the operation at her house, one of her daughters escaped miraculously amid sporadic gunshots.
In a reaction, the spokesman of the State police command, SP Olasanmi Ajayi said in a text message to an Inside source: “I don’t have any comment on that for now please.”
Every efforts to reach SP Olasunkanmi proved abortive as he not responding to calls and did not return the call back as of the time of gathering this report
