Police arrest NLC President, Ajero, in Imo
The Nigerian Police Force on Wednesday arrested the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Joe Ajaero, in Owerri, Imo State.
It was gathered that Ajaero was picked up from the NLC State Council Secretariat in Owerri by heavily armed policemen and taken to an unknown destination.

The NLC President was said to had been taken to an unknown destination by the Police to prevent the mass public protest planned for today.
Ajero was gathered to be at the NLC State Secretariat in Owerri to lead the planned strike action and protest of “government’s insensitivity to the plight of workers in the State”.
