Cameroon military confronts Biafra militants in warfare in Bakassi
The Air Force of the Cameroonian military early this week confronted a militant group of the Biafra agitators in the Bakassi Peninsula and the Gulf of Guinea, the Black Marine, in a fierce warfare in the Peninsula.
The Cameroonian Air Force had tracked the Black Marine militants who were sailing in a speedboat in the creeks of Bakassi Peninsula in the early hours of Tuesday, confronting the militants, who returned fire for fire in a fierce gun battle to resist the Cameroonian military.

The gun battle between the Black Marine and the Air Force was said to have lasted about 15 minutes, while the Air Force deployed maximum force and started bombing the Biafra separatist fighters, a military wing of the Biafra Nations League (BnL) operating in the Gulf of Guinea.
The Cameroonian Air Force were said to have blown up speedboat the Black Marine militants were sailing on near Ikang-Cameroon border territory of Nigeria, killed two militants in closed range bombing.
It was gathered that as the helicopter flew at very low level and descending on the speedboat, bombing the separatist fighters, majority of the militants jumped into the water and escaped, but two were killed in the bombing.
Meanwhile, members of the Black Marine, and leaders of the Biafra Nations League were yet to make a statement on the incident at the time of this report.
