Buhari administration simply printed N30trn and shared, sold crude oil in advance – Gov Mutfwang
Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State has put up a defence for the perennial fall of the naira in the administration of President Bola Tinubu, leading the All Progressives Congress (APC) government.
Governor Caleb Mutfwangof the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was cited to have expressed that the current administration inherited a worse situation than the PDP inherited in 1999.
The governor alleged that the last administration “simply printed money up to the tune of N30 trillion and shared”.
He also alleged that “the crude oil yet to be taken out of the ground had been sold in advance” in the last administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.
The Plateau State Governor was cited to have declared: “This government inherited an economy where we simply printed money up to the tune of N30 trillion and shared.
“This government inherited an economy where the crude oil we’re yet to take out of the ground had been sold in advance.
“So, when you’re talking about the fall of the naira, it’s not rocket science. We sold our future under the last administration”.
