Aisha Yesufu kicks against conviction, sentencing of Bobrisky for Naira mutilation
A renown female human rights activist, Comrade Aisha Yesufu, on Friday, kicked against the conviction and sentencing of Bobrisky to six months imprisonment by a Federal high Court in Lagos presided by Justice Abimbola Awogboro, for mutilation of the Naira.

“Did Bobrisky pick a scissors and started shredding the NAIRA?
“We just have a jungle where anything goes because some people’s morality is offended.
“If Bobrisky has crimes he has committed prosecute him on those and not these selective prosecution.”

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFFC) had arrested and arraigned Bobrisky for abusing and mutilating Naira notes. The transgender dresser was earlier on Friday, April 5 convicted by Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal high Court, Lagos; while the court sentenced Bobrisky to six months imprisonment without option of fine on Friday.
He is to serve at the Ikoyi Correctional Centre.
The judge, however, stated that the judgement was a deterrence to others.
