Recent claims by the All Progressives Congress (APC) members about the revocation of land acquired by Wells Farms in Odighi village, Edo State, have been debunked by the state’s Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Hon. Wole Uzzi.

In a letter titled “Clarification of Land Status,” Uzzi clarified that the land was actually revoked in 2013 by the administration of then-Governor Adams Oshiomhole, not by the current government.

The revocation was officially documented in Gazette No. 26 on June 27, 2013. This clarification counters the narrative being pushed by APC members, who had suggested that the current administration was responsible.

The Attorney General’s statement highlights the importance of verifying facts and cautions against the spread of misleading information.

“Contrary to the APC’s false narrative, the land was not revoked by the current administration, but by a previous administration in 2013, led by Adams Oshiomhole. The revocation was duly gazetted (No. 26 on June 27, 2013) – a fact that APC propagandists conveniently distorted to suit their agenda.

“This blatant manipulation of facts is a stark reminder of the dangers of APC propaganda. It serves no purpose other than to mislead and deceive. Those affected by the revocation know the truth and know where to direct their grievances.

“Let this serve as a warning: APC propagandists will stop at nothing to spread falsehoods and distort reality. It’s time to call them out and hold them accountable for their actions.
