Senate to investigate alleged corruption in BPP
The Nigerian Senate has directed its Committee on Public Procurement to investigate sharp and corrupt practices in the Bureau of Public Procurement BPP.
This followed a Point of Order raised by Senator Dino Melaye and supported by few other lawmakers including Senators Shehu Sanni and Matthew Urhogide, during the plenary, on Wednesday, on the alleged corruption going on at the BPP.

Melaye pointed out that some of the corrupt practices ongoing in the Bureau affect national productivity and reduce value for government funds.
Responding to the development, Deputy President of the Senate who presided over the plenary appreciated Melaye for raising the important Point of Order on the corrupt procurement practices.
