Tinubu hails Zenith Bank founder Jim Ovia on prestigious London honour
President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Founder and Chairman of Zenith Bank Plc, Jim Ovia, CFR, on his prestigious admission to the Freedom of the City of London, an honour reserved for individuals recognized for their exceptional service, achievements, and contributions to society.
In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu described the recognition as a well-deserved acknowledgment of Ovia’s outstanding contributions to business, innovation, and technology.
He also praised Ovia’s pivotal role in shaping Nigeria’s financial sector and fostering stronger economic ties between Africa and the global market.
“This honour is a testament to your unwavering commitment to excellence, your pioneering role in the growth of the financial services sector in Nigeria, and your visionary leadership that continues to inspire generations,” the President said.
