EU to end duty-free imports from Ukraine after June 5

The European Commission will not extend the duty-free import of goods from Ukraine beyond June 5, spokesperson, Olof Gill, announced on Wednesday.
“The autonomous trade measures with Ukraine expire on June 5. The Commission does not intend to extend them beyond that date,” Gill told reporters.
He added that the EU’s current priority was to review the EU-Ukraine Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA), suggesting that other forms of support might be explored moving forward.
