Ooni lauds Tinubu on Omidiran’s appointment as FCC Chairman
The Ooni of Ife, His Royal Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja 11, has lauded President Bola Tinubu for appointing Ayo Omidiran as Chairman of the Federal Character Commission (FCC).
Oba Ogunwusi also expressed appreciation to the President for the appointment of Eludayo Eluyemi as Federal Commissioner representing Osun State at the FCC.
A statement issued by the Ooni’s Palace on Wednesday in Ile-Ife, indicated that the appointment was a recognition for their competence, dedication and years of selfless service to the nation.
The Royal Father said that the duo would bring their wealth of experience, integrity, and commitment to national unity to discharge the commission’s mandate of ensuring fairness, equity and inclusivity in public service structure.
“Omidiran’s track record of legislative service and grassroots development, coupled with Eluyemi’s dedication to public administration, leaves no doubt that they will uphold the principles of fairness and national cohesion that the commission represents,” Ooni noted.
He urged the appointees to see their roles not only as a call to service for the people of the state, but as a sacred responsibility to the entire nation.
Omidiran, a former member of House of Representatives, is a native of Ikire in Irewole Local Government Area area of Osun. (NAN)
