MTN Nigeria insider sells 8,000 shares worth ₦6.86m through NGX
An insider at MTN Nigeria Communications Plc, Osebi Ufot, has sold 8,000 ordinary shares of the telecommunications company in a transaction executed through the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX).
According to a corporate disclosure, Ufot, who is identified as the company’s Manager of Financial Operations, completed the sale on September 21, 2026, in Lagos.
The shares were sold in three tranches: 7,854 shares at ₦858 per share, 26 shares at ₦857 per share and 120 shares at ₦857.10 per share.
The transactions produced an aggregate weighted average price of approximately ₦857.36 per share, putting the total value of the sale at ₦6,858,880.
The disclosure was made as part of MTN Nigeria’s notification of share dealings by insiders. Such filings provide investors with information about transactions in the securities of listed companies by directors and other designated insiders.
The latest transaction adds to a series of insider share dealings disclosed by MTN Nigeria on the NGX. Earlier in 2026, other company insiders also reported purchases and sales of MTN Nigeria shares.
MTN Nigeria is listed on the Nigerian Exchange and remains one of the major companies by market capitalisation on the Nigerian equities market.
The sale by Ufot, however, does not by itself indicate the reason for the transaction or represent an assessment of MTN Nigeria’s future share-price performance. The corporate disclosure only records the details of the share dealing.
