Hundreds of NGOs up for Buhari 2019
No fewer than 200 NGOs have massed up to push President Muhammadu Buhari ahead for the 2019 presidential election.
The coalition yesterday expressed confidence in Buhari’s ability to nake Nigeria great again.
Christened the Forum of Non-Governmental Organisations in Nigeria, FOGON, the coalition said it would begin a nationwide rally in support of Buhari’s administration next week.
Its national co-ordinator, Wole Badmus, said those critical of All Progressives Congress, APC-led administration were being “unfair and uncharitable.
He noted that before the assumption of office of incumbent administration, the Federal Government was borrowing to pay salary.
The group also condemned the campaign to demonize Buhari’s administration to pave way for the return of the same people who brought the country to where it was before President Buhari came in.
FOGON also advised former President Olusegun Obasanjo—who asked Buhari not to seek re-election in 2019—to keep his peace because Nigerians know what to do.
FOGON is joining a raft of supporters, individuals and groups, asking Buhari to seek another term come 2019.
