Kano LG Polls: Ganduje promises Buhari double of 2015 vote
Kano Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has assured that in 2019 general, Kano electorate will deliver five million votes to President Muhammadu Buhari.

The ruling party won with 2,677,469 votes, higher than what Buhari got in 2015.
The governor, who spoke during the swear-in ceremony of the 44 new local government council chairmen, and 484 councillors, said the rise in votes for APC was a direct impact of the party’s laudable policies.

“….That is to say that if eventually Buhari agreed to contest 2019 general election, I assure you, we would give you 5 million votes.”
“We have seen in this election was a clear indication that Kano is APC and ready to contribute to its success any time.”
Ganduje then warned the elected officers to tread softly on the common patrimony, stressing that anyone caught for pilfering and mismanagement would pay a price.
“You will be given free hands to operate in your respective council, but whoever sidesteps his bound will pay a price”
He also charged them to work with relevant stakeholders within and outside their domain.
Buhari has yet to signify intention to contest the presidency in 2019.
