Facebook blocks hundreds of accounts
Following its policy to be more vigilant in controlling what goes public on its platform, tech giant Facebook Inc says the company removed 200 pages, groups and accounts on Facebook and Instagram in the Philippines.
It cited “coordinated inauthentic behaviour” as the reasons.
The company said its investigation found that such activity was linked to a network organised by a person named Nic Gabunada, former chief executive of Omnicom Media Group Philippines.
Early in the week, Facebook said it would start removing accounts belonging to racists and white supremacists.
