Jonathan, others to lose property

The Senate Committee on Federal Capital Territory, has made move to revoke some landed property allocated to former President Goodluck Jonathan and others in the Maitama district of Abuja.
Senator Dino Melaye, who is also Chairman of the committee, made this known during a budget defence by the FCT ministry. The said plots of land are located in the Government reserved areas of the FCT. And have been designed to be used for structures for foreign visitors who may be attracted to our domestic investment in the country.

Others who benefitted from this affected revocation include, former Justice Minister and Attorney-General of the Federation, Muhammed Bello Adoke; Former Bauchi State governor, Isa Yuguda; Acting National Chairman of PDP, Uche Secondus; and late National Security Adviser, Andrew Okoye Azazi, among others.
He said members of his committee who visited the sites at Maitama district had ordered workers erecting structures on them, to stop work as the FCT Minister was summoned to give clarifications before the Panel.
