A maximum leader without empathy
By Reuben Buhari
It is so unfortunate that the Kaduna State Government would jettison the MOU it signed with the NLC in Abuja. Nothing would have been more preferable like dialogue under this tense atmosphere of the sacking of civil servants.
However, I am not surprised. With El-rufai at the centre of everything, one shouldn’t be surprised. His inflated ego, unpredictability and sheer self-importance are yet to be rivalled by any present leader.
He rules Kaduna with an iron fist. No political appointee or career civil servant dares to rebuke him. None. It would be instant dismissal. If El-rufai could have the house of Bar. Inuwa Abdulkadir demolished, have the NLC state chairman of Kaduna instantly transferred to Birnin Gwari, list the names of 18 KASU staff to be sacked for being part of the NLC strike, and so many other victimisations of those who stand against him, then we should know that El-rufai is the most deceitful leader to have been trusted to respect an MOU with NLC.
He is not even bothered with the reputation of an untrustworthy, petty and vindictive leader that he is carving for himself. No! He is just about his ego and his belief that he is the best gift to Kaduna and the only knowledgeable leader with balls.
El-Rufai would be nothing without the transient power he now controls and abuses!
