Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University commences microfinance bank
The Executive Director of the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU) Microfinance bank, Alhaji Awal Amin has revealed that the institute has commenced operation two weeks ago although set up in 2015 .
Amin said that the institution was granted operational licence by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to start with N32 million share capitals.
The institution which operates normal banking services and granting loans to salary earners was also operating mobile and e-banking to stand the test of time, as category ‘E’ institution.
The director said that the institution intended to pump in more resources, to enable it to move in modern trends and promises that customers could access one quarter of their salaries as loan before the payment of salaries
