AFCON: Eagles camp alive with arrival of Osimhen, Awoniyi

The camp of the Super Eagles in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, came alive on Wednesday with the arrival Victor Osimhen of Napoli, Italy; Taiwo Awoniyi of Nottingham Forest, England; Ademola Lookman of Atalanta, Samuel Chukwueze of AC Milan, among others that make up the 23 list of Head coach Jose Peseiro.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will be playing Sao Tome and Principe on Sunday in the qualifying match of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Other professional players include Tyronne Ebuehi of Empoli, Ola Aina of Nottingham Forest, of Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho of Leicester City, Calvin Bassey of Fulham, Frank Onyeka of Brentford, Semi Ajayi of West Brom, Joe Aribo of Southampton.

Others include William Troost-Ekong, Greece, Raphael Onyedika of Club Brugge, Belgium; Moses Simon of Nantes, Bruno Onyemaechi of Boavista, as well as goalkeepers Uzoho Francis, Adeleye Adebayo and Leke Ojo.
The new palyers invited by the Head coach include Orban Gift of Torunarigha Jordan, and Boniface Victor.

The Super Eagles will begin training on Wednesday the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.
