Air Peace slashes Nigeria-London airfares, expands connectivity
In a major move to make international travel more affordable, Air Peace Ltd. has announced a significant reduction in airfares on its Nigeria-London route, offering travelers up to N600,000 in savings.
The announcement was made in a statement signed by the airline’s Head of Corporate Communications, Dr. Ejike Ndiulo, on Wednesday in Lagos, as reported by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
The airline also introduced an exclusive offer of one free extra luggage allowance, making it a lucrative deal for passengers.
According to Air Peace, the fare reduction is part of its latest promotional campaign, which will run until March 31, with an extended travel period until April 15.
Travelers from key Nigerian cities, including Abuja, Asaba, Benin, Enugu, Owerri, Warri, Port Harcourt, and Chinua Achebe International Airport in Umueri, Anambra State, must first connect through Lagos before boarding their flights to London Gatwick.
A check on the airline’s booking platform reveals that during the promo period, economy-class ticket prices from these domestic locations to London Gatwick start at N965,500 to N975,500, while business-class fares are available from N2.38 million, depending on seat availability.
Air Peace launched its Lagos-London route on March 30, 2024, with the goal of providing more cost-effective and accessible international travel options for Nigerians.

Upon its debut, the airline disrupted the market with highly competitive fares, offering economy-class tickets at N1.2 million, a significant drop from the N3–5 million typically charged by foreign airlines. Business-class fares were also set at N4.5 million, making premium travel more accessible.
The airline’s entry into the London market triggered a sharp response from foreign competitors, with some slashing their prices below Air Peace’s rates in an attempt to maintain market dominance.
In April 2024, Air Peace expanded its connectivity for the Lagos-Gatwick service, enabling passengers from Abuja, Asaba, Benin, Enugu, Owerri, Warri, and Port Harcourt to seamlessly connect to London.
By December 2024, the airline further extended its services to include Chinua Achebe International Airport, Umueri, providing greater access for travelers from the southeastern region of Nigeria.
Air Peace’s continued push for affordability and connectivity underscores its commitment to providing top-tier travel experiences while challenging foreign carriers that have long dominated the Nigeria-London route.
With this latest fare reduction and increased domestic connectivity, the airline is poised to further solidify its presence in international aviation, offering Nigerian travelers a viable alternative to expensive foreign carriers.
