APC govt seals off NNPP secretariat, other offices, arrests candidate

The Borno state government has sealed off the state headquarters of the NNPP in Maiduguri.

Borno State Urban Development Management Board on sealed the headquarters and other offices of the party Thursday.

The party’s guber candidate Umaru Alkali confirmed this to newsmen in Maiduguri.

He also said the Central Senatorial candidate, Hon Attom Muhammad Maigira, was arrested and detained despite honoring police invitation.

He said the policemen was deployed to the party Secretariats along Abbaganaram and Gidan Maradara area between Wednesday and Thursday.

The APC state is producing the party’s running mate—former Gov Kashim Shettima— to its presidential candidate Bola Tinubu.
