APC sinks deeper in Adamawa, loses 7,000 to PDP
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has continued to sink deeper in Adamawa State, as the party lost a proportion of its members in the 7,000 defectors to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Over 7,000 loyal members of the APC, including the Social Democratic Party (SDP) decamped enmass to the PDP in Jada Local Government Area, Adamawa State. The defectors were received by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State who assured them of fairness and equity in the party.
National Daily gathered that more defectors are expected in the build up to the 2023 general elections. Adamawa State has been marked a frontline state of the PDP, being the home of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, a frontline PDP presidential aspirant.
