Atiku expresses optimism Nigerians will vote PDP in 2023
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on Saturday expressed optimism that Nigerians will return Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and return the party to power in 2023.
Former Vice President Atiku, after casting his vote at the PDP State Congress in Adamawa State on Saturday, stated that PDP will set the pace for other parties on transparency of elections in the country.
Atiku, however, cautioned politicians to comply with electoral guideline of political parties and the nation’s constitution during elections. He asserted that democracy can only triumph in a free and fair environment.
The Adamawa State Congress has over 2,614 delegates from the 21 local governments participating in the process.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State voted first to before former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.
It was disclosed that the PDP election screening committee headed by Mamu Alhaji Mohammed cleared 39 aspirants for the various leadership positions in the state.
